Waylon boy's first Christmas tree hunt

“I took a walk in the woods and came out taller than the trees.” –Henry David Thoreau

The love and happiness our family shares is by happenstance. I know, it sounds like I tripped over it and there it was. Well, it went something like that.
We all jumped out of the truck and the excitement released like a Champaign bottle cork. POP! Hunter and Jameson insisted that we find the PERFECT tree for Waylon's 1st Christmas tree hunt. So, the hunt was on. Waylon was in awe as the boys pointed out tree after tree. We laughed as we followed the breadcrumbs we left from last year. Around the tree farm we went and it was not long until we stumbled across the perfect tree. Making silly faces and tree biting noises (Insert laugh here) we watched as Daddy said "TIMBER" while the tree fell to the ground.
We huddled around the fireplace as we enjoyed our cups of hot cider, by tradition, we all smiled as we remembered how wonderful the perfect combo of cider and whipped cream tasted.
The tree fit perfectly though the door. Up it went, as if it never left.
Chocolate peanut butter cookies lined the counter and a delicious dinner baked in the oven as we decorated our perfect tree. The house filled with the scent of Christmas and the heat of a wood fed fireplace warmed us after our adventure. It was a perfect first Christmas start for our little Waylon boy.
