Saying goodbye to summer at the cabin.
Our summers end was spent at the cabin. It was as if our arrival activated the changing of seasons. It was so much fun to go from summer sunshine to crisp fall mornings colored in yellow and orange.
It is harder and harder to leave this place. The moment we arrive in Montana our lives change as if we are going through a detox. The first day consists of the usual unpacking but I haven't told you about the body and soul detox dump we all go through. The healing that we experience. We haven't quite figured out why we all feel so much better; if its the air and the dirt that cause this reaction or if it is all in our heads. I lean towards the fresh air and dirt. Yes, we live in the country in Washington too, but, we also live just feet from a main highway. I can only imagine how much crud and dust we breath from the passing cars and log trucks that we cant see or smell. In Montana, well, lets just say it could be an hour before we pass another car.
The cabin is our paradise. The cabin is surrounded by gods gifts in both our property and our neighbors. The life that we are cultivating here is all ours. The cabin build (re-build) is something that we can be proud of and call ours. WE DID THIS! As a family, we made this beautiful 20 acres ours. We put up this amazing gate. We made this cabin a home. We've created space to play soccer and basketball. We've created a view that you can only dream of. This is our generational wealth. This is our livelihood. And we are so proud of what we've created for our family to enjoy.
