I was his little shotgun rider

I was his little shotgun rider and I don't think I have ever felt so content. Sitting there next to him. Holding hands. Playing kissy kissy. We just can't get enough of each other. Idaho, here we come!
I looked out the window and watched the sun set behind us. Saying goodbye to a perfect day. Coffee accompanied by 4 shots kept our eyes open until the early morning. Future pans made the laughter echo through the truck; our children will be in for a surprise when we start to get old enough to get away with anything (Insert giggles here). Satellite Country VS Alternative (our high school days) had us singing. Chris tracked lightning storms while we watched the sky light up in front of us. It was beautiful! And he may have looked up a drive in chapel nearby. We ended our long drive in the perfect room at about 1:30 am.
Breakfast and then Samantha's graduation kept our long morning full. It was so much fun getting to know Chris' family. Everyone is so nice and inviting. I felt like I fit in perfectly, just as I do with him. Tacos and chips drowning in cheesed dip made our stomachs oh-so happy along with the slather of sarcasm that covered our conversations and laughter. I loved the stories and sharing some of my own. Evening came too quick and we said our goodbyes. We were both exhausted from the long nights drive. Night came in an instant and so did sleep to our eyes.
Coffee Coffee Coffee. Starbucks filled the Dodge's cup holders and we finally got on the road. We didn't want the road to stop. The trip has been so much fun that making the few stops to shop, play, and take pictures were almost sad.
The countdown began and soon we were snagging the boys to head home. And then the other happiness began. Our family.
