It was like someone had dropped powdered sugar from the sky

We piled into the Yukon and planned our Christmas movie list. Polar Express was first, followed by a close vote second, Jingle all the way. The boys were ready for some snow and some light magic in Leavenworth. Now, we knew there was not much snow at our destination, but, we knew that on our way, without fail, there would be snow on the pass. And there was/ Lots and lots of snow on the ground. It was beautiful. It was like someone had dropped powdered sugar from the sky.
I don't think that we were fully aware of how cold 28 degrees was until we stepped from the truck. Thank goodness I packed extra coats, hats, gloves and blankets...because...we needed them. Walking around Leavenworth waiting for the lights to be lit, it was full of fun as we ran into Elf and Rudolph. IT WAS SO COLD though! But, SO worth it.
